Definition

Affiliation of the publication to one or more ZHAW schools (Departement).

Explanation

Please select the authors' or editors' ZHAW school affiliation. You may select multiple schools by pressing the CTRL key button.

Organisational unit

Definition

Allocation of the publication to one or more ZHAW organisational units (e.g. institutes and centers). This field is essential for the institute reporting and the correct display of your research on the corresponding institutional website.

Use of organisational units as web feeds at the institutional level:

  • From the drop-down menu, please select the organisational unit to which the author(s) (or editor(s)) of the publication belong or to which the publication is assigned.

Definition

This paper discusses numerical methodologies to simulate micro vibrations on a nontrivial torsionally oscillating structure. The torsional structure is the tip of a viscosity-density sensor using micro vibrations to measure the fluid properties. A 2D transient simulation of the fluid domain surrounding the tip of the sensor has been conducted in ANSYS CFX and COMSOL Multiphysics software. The obtained results show good agreement for both pressure and shear rate amplitudes in all models.

  • For Green Open Access self-archiving the license by default is the "Licence according to the publishing agreement".
